Morning, Everyone! It’s my turn to introduce some cases of the impact of the earthquake. You may never forget that day in 11th March 2011, Honshu(本州), off the east coast of Japan suffered one of the most powerful earthquakes.(P1)The exact location is 130 km (80 miles) east of Sendai（仙台）. This earthquake reached Magnitude 9.0. It is the highest recorded in Japan’s history.
Now, let’s review the process of this disaster.
P3：This picture is the cause of this earthquake.A chunk of the Pacific plate, which normally slowly under Japan at about 3 inches per year, suddenlyup to 59 feet. This quick jolt thrust undersea land upward, causing the earthquake and tsunami.

Then let’s look at exact losses (P10—12).
Total Dead and missinghave reached 19000. While only 1.4% dead caused by the collapse.
Its Buildings destroyed reached25510.And it’sDirect Economic lossreached 125 to 158. While it accounted for 20% to 30% of the residential based.
The earthquake not only caused the greatest losses to the Japanese, but also the biggest losses on the world history of the earthquake. While let’s look at the losses of WenChuan Earthquake in 2008, which reached Magnitude 8.0. Its strength is 1000 times smaller than Japan’s.
75% of dead and missing caused by the collapse and 47.8% of the Economic losses caused by the houses and Non-residential buildings like schools and hospital. The disaster of the earthquake in Sendai is much higher than the earthquake in Wenchuan, however, why our losses caused by collapse are far higher than Japan. Maybe the answer is our housing seismic capacityisnotenough.
As the saying Earthquakes don't kill people. People's houses in the midst of earthquakes kill people. However, is it suitable for Japan?

2013年4月20日早晨8点02分，当我们还在熟睡之际，梦想人生之时，雅安却发生了大地震，我们被这残酷的灾难所震醒，心被这残酷的灾难所震颤，在这天灾发生的一刻，我想到了那次汶川地震。它就像噩梦一样留在我们心中永远挥之不去。

四川汶川地震发生后，中国地震局立即启动一级预案。由中国地震局12人、北京军区某部工兵团150人和武警总医院22人组成的国家地震灾害紧急救援队陆续奔赴汶川灾区，负责搜索、营救和医疗救护任务；根据《国家自然灾害救助应急预案》，国家减灾委紧急启动国家一级救灾应急响应，并组成救灾工作组即赴四川汶川灾区，协助指导抗震救灾工作。民政部紧急调拨数万顶救灾帐篷以及其它救灾物资支援灾区；解放军总参谋部立即发出指示，要求成都军区、空军和武警部队坚决贯彻胡锦涛主席的重要指示，迅速组织灾区驻军全力投入抗震救灾，尽快抢救伤员，保证灾区人民生命安全，最大限度减少损失。总参谋部立即启动应急预案。成都军区紧急出动6100余名官兵赶赴灾区参加抗震救灾；四川各方面紧急行动起来，展开救灾工作。其他相关省份和中央有关部门也立即展开了相应工作。
