——读《百万英镑》有感
这部影片主要讲述了两个富豪为了证实钱财的影响力而在一个一无所有的人身上做了一个实验。本片主人公就是他们选中的赌注对象。富豪给了本片主人公一张一百万英镑的现金。据说在当时一百万英镑的现金只有两张，因此很多商店的老板都愿意免费为一百万英镑的持有者服务。甚至是上流社会的显贵名人也会跑来巴结，当然在主人公享有这一切优待之后也会经历一些磨难。当他发现自己那张一百万的英镑消失不见之后，人们对他是万分唾弃的，大家都觉得他不可信任，并且觉得他是一个混吃混合的骗子，都纷纷来找他算账。之前多有的特殊优待也都纷纷离他而去，包括他告诉他爱人真相（他不是有钱人，那张支票不是他的）之后他爱人也怀疑他，离他而去。在他没有拿出那张一百万英镑的现金之前，人们是不可能相信他的。在本片最后证实现金丢失是一场闹剧之后，主人公又重获了一切，现在的他对金钱有了新的认识。还钱的时候到了，主人公带着他的爱人来到两位富豪面前。到底是钱是万能的还是不是，两位富豪仍在争论着，主人却带着他的爱人悄悄离开了??从而得么一张百万英镑的支票。
当看到主人公饥肠辘辘，去了一家饭店，老板见他像个穷光蛋，打发他到角落里，侍者也觉得他没钱付，当他结账时，所有人都惊呆了，支票却是一百万！于是他被当成了一个行为古怪的百万富翁。不仅吃饭免了单，临走时老板还对他两次90度的鞠躬时，我也不时的遐想，会不会有一天我也会有这种好运呢！不过更多的是感慨人生真的是现实啊，而我们要时时刻刻面对这些丑陋的嘴脸，那是一件多么凄惨的事，要是我们变成那样的人那又该多可悲。
有的人一辈子为了赚钱，幸苦了一辈子，也累了一辈子，他们是幸福快乐的。他们靠自己的双手去创造属于自己的舞台。但是，有的人靠一些卑鄙的手段去赚钱，虽然他们得到了一辈子都花不光的钱，享受这天伦之乐，可他们却是悲伤痛苦的。因为他们每天都过着一样的生活，久了，就会厌恶幸福的生活。
钱！成了衡量一切的标准！
让我感到非常可笑的是，当一名开玩笑，英国贵族将支票藏起来后，股市大跌，人们开始怀疑主人公是否有支票，众人都来拆他的台。一个贵族骂了主人公，衣服也被收走，可是，当支票又重新回到主人公的手中时，那位贵族马上又笑逐颜开说：“上帝保佑您！”衣服又原封不动送了回来。看到主人公当时无奈的样子，让我感觉他的压力蛮大的。如果是我肯定早就咆哮了。其实这种现象在我们现实社会中又何尝没有，有的情节比这种说话变卦、态度变卦更加严重！一些医生为了钱，可以为病人做不必要的检查，给病人吃不必要的药，把假的弄得比真的还认真！在这种丧失医德、人性的医生眼里，金钱比生命更可贵！对于这种现象我们除了无奈又能做些什么呢。
钱就像一把双刃刀，，利用得好，就是一笔财富；利用不会，就会是一个无底深渊。
电影通过小办事员的种种“历险”嘲弄了金钱在资产阶级社会叱咤风云、呼风唤雨的作用。作者用漫画笔法勾勒了不同人物在“百万英镑”面前的种种丑态，幽默滑稽，趣味横生，就如同一幅世态讽刺画，令人忍俊不禁。电影对“金钱就
是一切”“金钱是万能的”的想法进行了讽刺，揭穿了资本主义社会的丑恶面容。 看到这儿，我很羡慕这位如此“幸运”的主人公，但同时我又想：人们之所以讨好他，不就是因为当时人们太看重金钱了吗？拜金主义是可耻的，不劳而获更不应该！金钱不是万能的，世界上还有许多比金钱更重要的东西。我们对于人的看法是不是真的好像电影里的绝大多数人那样，会因为金钱而有截然不同的看法？喜剧的背后往往会有深刻的主题让人思考。
新闻上也有很多类似的事情，例如：一些政府官员贪污受贿上百万，结果恶有恶报，被捕捉了。他们作为人们的领导，为了钱出卖良心，也出卖了人格。他们不仅没有做一位人们的好榜样，还走上了不归之路。他们想让钱成为他们的奴隶，但在钱还没有成为他们的奴隶时，他们就已经成为为金钱卖命的奴仆。他们为什么会成为金钱的奴仆？就是因为他们被金钱那股强大的力量吸引住了，被金钱所诱惑，他们可以为了钱，放弃一切东西，在他们心中没有什么东西可以跟钱衡量。他们已完全失去理智，失去了他们心中那颗为人民着想，做一个好榜样的心。
文中的主人公之所以能成为一位名义上的百万富翁，到最后成为一位名副其实的百万富翁，都是因为他怀有一颗诚实善良的心，才能得到兄弟俩的赏识。还有一件事情让我觉得很佩服的是片中的女主角，虽然一开始她是为了钱或者他姑妈的原因而接近主人公，但是在她知道男主角没有对他撒谎对她是真心的时候，她毅然不管亲人的反对选择真爱！她的这份勇气是值得我们学习的。一开始我也觉得她只是一只没有内涵的花瓶，但是本片到了大结局的时候我很高兴，不仅是男主人公重获佳人，更是对女主人公追求爱情这份勇气钦佩。
金钱并不是万能的，它就像洪水般涌来，会让你成为陪葬品。做事情我们都应该有怀有一颗知足的心，做事情也要适度调节，这样才能使人活得更幸福、快乐。同时，爱情也是需要勇气来追求的，让我们像片中的女主人公和男主人公一样用一颗真诚地心收获爱情。

这个暑假里，我阅读了马克·吐温写的《百万英镑》，这本书令我映象深刻，它不仅让我知道了“百万英镑”里的内容，还揭穿了当时资本主义社会的丑陋面容。
《百万英镑》这本书主要讲了有一对富翁兄弟打赌一个贫穷而诚实的人得到一张百万英镑会有怎样的结果，哥哥认为那个人会饿死，而弟弟认为那个人会过得很好，所以他们拿主人公亨利·亚当斯做实验，之后，原本是乞丐的亨利不仅成了除王室之外的公爵之上，而且还娶得了一位好妻子和三百万银行利息，从此过着幸福快乐的生活。
这个故事告诉了我：当时社会上的拜金主义思想，当时的人们都太看重金钱了，钱！竟然成了可以衡量一切的标准！为了钱，他们可以放弃一切，放弃地位、家人、职业……拜金主义思想是可耻的，不劳而获更加可耻，因为世界上还有很多比金钱更重要的东西，很多不能用金钱来衡量的东西，金钱不是万能的。
从这个故事中，我明白了：那个年代人们的拜金主义思想很可耻，也明白了一个人不能贪婪，不能不劳而获，否则最后吃亏的还是自己。做人的基本准则就是信用，如果一个人没有了信用，那他就算拥有了再多的东西也没有用，所以，

I knew Mark Twain when i was a middle school student. In my memory, there is an article in my English textbook that written by him. At that time, I pay no attention to Mark Twain. However, i knew more about him after I learned the History and Anthology of American Literature, he appeals to me dearly and deeply. As a result, I read a part of his novels in part time. Samuel Langhorne Clemens （November 30, 1835 – April 21, 1910） was an American humorist, satirist, lecturer and writer, better known by the pen name Mark Twain. He was born in Florida, Missouri and brought up in Hannibal, Missouri. After his father's death in 1847, he was apprenticed to a printer and wrote for
his brother's newspaper. He later worked as a licensed Mississippi river-boat pilot. The Civil War put an end to the steamboat traffic and Clemens moved to Virginia City, where he edited the Territorial Enterprise. On February 3, 1863, 'Mark Twain' was born when Clemens signed a humorous travel account with that pseudonym. He often uses exaggerated ways to show his irony.

And such kind of “free lunch” strikes the poor and honest young man Hey Adams who has surprisingly got a one-million bank note from the brothers （Roderick & Oliver）。 As a matter of fact, the brothers had made a bet, if a poor, honest and clever people who come knocking on the door received the one million pounds, what will be happening to his life? Mark Twain's short story of “one million pounds note” is a very good work. The article satires the thoughts of “money is everything,” “money is
omnipotent,” and expose the ugly face of capitalist society. As we all know, the root of the story was the bet of the brothers. What is the bet actually? Where does the attraction of the bank note lie in?
As far as i am concerned, the One Million Pounds Note takes an interesting, satirical look at the hypocrisy stemming from class distinction in England.
England is a country where class and wealth are given extreme significance, especially among the rich. The novel shows the hypocrisy that existed among these people, how the rich are quick to change face when they find out that you're a man of wealth and how within the next moment they revert back to their condescending selves when all wealth is lost. The story was based on the main theme by emphasizing on the hypocrisy of the upper class society but at the same time it also creates a balance that prevents the novel from being a mockery of the British society. The love story appears at the right time and there is plenty of comedy to keep one entertained. The ending is a little predictable but the director does an overall good job by rounding it up and presenting his points.
In my heart, Herry was so luckily, not everyone can get the chance to use the million. I am so envious of the “lucky” of the heroine, but at the same time I would like to think that the reason why people carry favor with him is just that they attract too much important to money, isn't it? Money worship is shameful and should not be reaping more! Money is not omnipotent, and in the world, there are many things that more important than money ??

Based on Mark Twain's novel, 'The Millionaire Pound Note' takes an
interesting satirical look at the hypocrisy stemming from class distinction in the 50s England. England is a country where class and wealth are given extreme significance, especially among the rich.
The film shows the hypocrisy that existed among these people, how the rich are quick to change face when in an instant they find out that you're a man of wealth and how within the next moment they revert back to their condescending selves when all wealth is lost. Interestingly, 'The Millionaire' also briefly looks at how the English perceived Americans in that era. Rich Americans were welcomed as outsiders and the poor were quickly shunned away.
The fact that he's an outsider either makes him more appealing or the complete opposite. The story sticks to the main theme by emphasizing on the hypocrisy of the upper class society but at the same time it also creates a balance that prevents the movie from being a mockery of the British society. The movie drags at some point but the love story appears at the right time and there is plenty of comedy to keep one entertained.
A charming Gregory Peck totally nails the part and the luminous Jane Griffiths is a treat. Reginald Beckwith, as Peck's sidekick Rock is amusing. The ending is a little predictable but the director does an overall good job by rounding it up and presenting his points.
