后来人们就效仿天使，在平安夜的晚上到处报人传讲耶稣降生的消息，直到今日，报佳音已经变成圣诞节不可缺少的一个节目。
通常佳音队是由大约二十名青年人，加上一备装扮成天使的小女孩和一位圣诞老人组成。在平安夜晚上大约是九点过后，开始一家一家的去报佳音。每当佳音队去到一个家庭时，先会唱几首大家都熟悉的圣诞歌曲，然后再由小女孩念出圣经的话语让该户人家知道今夜是耶稣降生的日子，过后大家一起祷告再唱一两首诗歌，再由慷慨大方的圣诞老人派送圣诞礼物给那个家庭中的小厅子，整个报佳音的过程就完成了！

虽然圣诞节是西方的节日，但是对于我们来说理解它的本意更加重要，圣诞节是一年中给全人类带来真正希望和憧憬的一天，它高举着兄弟情谊的火炬；是一年中大多数人心胸开阔，气度非凡的一天；也正是这一天大多数人都尽力友善对人，体贴入微；在这一天我们都以一如既往的优雅和慷慨行事；在这一天就连仇家都重归于好。 三、 活动目的：
学期已经快到尾声，新的一年快要来临，在这个寒冷的冬天通过举办圣诞温情活动，增进同学间的友谊，互相之间能够更加了解。

4.点燃蜡烛，温情一刻（关灯，点燃每一个人面前的蜡烛，大家围成一个圈，互相对对方说对他的印象，从刚开学时的和现在的差别，由于互相之间会有些小害羞，并且保证每个人都会说到，所以采用学号制，学号为1者对学号为2这进行描述，以此类推）
5.圣诞老公公派发小礼物时间（礼物包括一人一个圣诞帽和一点小食物）

圣诞节的由来
圣诞节不少孩子以为是圣诞老公公诞生的日子。其实圣诞节是来自基督教习俗，是庆祝荣耀尊贵的上帝为了爱世人，便将他的独生子耶稣基督道成肉身来到世间，成为人的样式，与人一同承担苦难、救赎世人。圣诞节就是庆祝圣子耶稣基督的诞生。而在西方庆祝圣诞节不是只有圣诞节夜以及圣诞节当天，早在圣诞节前的四个星期日，便已经开始每周日庆祝耶稣诞生的习俗，这一段时间称为“将临期”。
在将临节期，教会的布置全都以蓝紫色为主。圣坛的桌巾、讲台的台帷、牧师袍的肩带都是紫色。并且圣坛中央通常会放置一个用长青树的叶子作的花环，中间有五枝紫色的长烛，每个星期日，便多点上一枝蜡烛。到最后的圣诞夜里的“普世同庆”点上中间的最后一枝蜡烛。烛光象征着在许多年前的圣婴孩耶稣其第一声啼哭里，为这世上带来了光明。
而圣诞老人其实是西元第三世纪的尼可莱斯主教。他曾冒死解救被处殛刑的政治犯、也揭发过贪婪官吏屯粮，使百姓渡过饥荒。在宗教被迫害时，被捕入狱，身上满是鞭痕、钳伤与烙印，仍坚持其信仰。
而后半生留在米拉，设立孤儿院、照顾病患、贫民。尼可莱斯生平事迹中，最脍炙人口的是他慷慨助人的行径和对孩童的爱心，这些事迹后来被儿童文学家，予以丰富的想像而成为我们现在所知圣诞老人故事。
圣诞节最重要的意义是讲“饶恕”与“和好”，而非等待圣诞礼物。在这宁静的夜晚，想一想有没有人得罪你，你还没原谅他、饶恕他呢？
各国圣诞节习俗
法国法国中部的色日尔斯地方，每年圣诞节前后几天必降大雪，白雪皑皑，令人清新。在西方人眼里，白色圣诞是一种吉祥。在法国，马槽是最富有特色的圣诞标志，因为相传耶稣是诞生在马槽旁的。人们大唱颂赞耶稣的圣诞歌之后，必须开怀畅饮，香槟和白兰地是法国传统的圣诞美酒。
芬兰芬兰在12月圣诞节前后，漫山遍野都是怒放的紫罗兰，掩映在白色的大地上，望去一片紫红色，紫色圣诞使人心旷神怡。

近年来，以圣诞节为主打菜的洋节攻势越来越猛，而中国传统节日相对于洋节则越来越冷清。特别是在北京、上海、广州这样的大城市，年轻人一提到过圣诞就眉飞色舞，而传统的农历春节却越来越觉得“老一套、单调、冷静、越过越没意思??”。圣诞节这种咄咄逼人的局面的出现有其特定的原因：
1、中国经济的发展和人民生活水平的提高
越来越多的中国人过圣诞节，是国家经济发展和居民生活水平提高的象征。经济越发达，居民收入越高，居民的物质基础就越雄厚，
对闲暇的追求也就越强，假期和节日就越多。
2、中西文化交流的深入和西方强势经济的作用
中国的对外开放程度越来越高，大量的欧美跨国公司进入中国，为数众多的西方人到中国工作和旅游，西方的很多传统习惯也被更为广泛的带入并产生深远影响。
圣诞节在中国日渐盛行，经济也是一个重要影响因素。在中国这样一个根本没有基督教传统的国家，圣诞节这么风靡，西方的经济、文化的相对强势起了微妙的作用。日本、韩国、新加坡等地区兴起过圣诞节的历史比中国要长，主要就是因为经济更为发达的国家和地区的文化的扩散和传播。
3、都市居民尤其是青年人对圣诞节形成了特殊定位
春节是中国人习惯了的重温亲情的时间，讲的是团聚；xxx一是奢侈的休息时间，居民只想着举家出游，或干脆休养生息睡懒觉养精神；而对于圣诞节为代表的洋节，中国的都市居民尤其是青年人模糊了它原有的意义，已经把它变成了聚会疯狂开心狂欢的盛宴了。如果从民俗学的角度上说，中国的传统节日更强调团圆，因此对于很多青年人来说反倒显得是一种负担，而西方的节日大多带有狂欢的色彩，
圣诞节更像是为自己过的。对于崇尚个性、追求时尚的青年人来说，洋节日更加能够张扬一种自由的心情。
4、商家和媒体推波助澜的宣传
商家和媒体从各方面推波助澜的宣传攻势引领了普通大众对节日的幻想和渴望，从而产生出波澜壮阔的圣诞节大军。正如现在的国庆黄金周，民众本来不一定非要出去旅游，但当大环境提供了这样一种可行为的条件，当媒体和商家又做好这样一个“美丽的”陷阱后，民众就不得不往里面跳了。当然，让更多的人跳这种陷阱并无坏处，这也是一种节假日经济。

圣诞节作为一种舶来品，在中国有其特定的适用主体和时空条件。从当前来看，中国的圣诞节消费存在以下特征：
